This Hebrews 4:16 reflection reminds us of something we often forget. Most of us understand reverence before God, but this verse reminds us of something just as important. Because of what Christ has done, God doesn’t tell us to stay at a distance. He invites us to come.
Not reluctantly. Not fearfully.
He tells us to approach His throne of grace with confidence.
That doesn’t mean we come with pride or a sense of entitlement. It means we come trusting the One who called us. We bring our failures, our questions, our gratitude, and our needs, knowing we will be met with mercy and grace—not because we deserve it, but because that is the kind of Father He is.
The next time you find yourself carrying a burden you weren’t meant to carry alone, remember that God isn’t asking you to keep your distance. Through Christ, He is inviting you to come boldly into His presence.
