“Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.”
— Jeremiah 33:3 (NIV)
One of the things I appreciate about this verse is its simplicity. God doesn’t begin with a list of conditions or ask us to have everything figured out first. He simply invites us to call to Him.
So often we spend our time trying to solve every problem ourselves. We gather more information, replay conversations in our minds, and search for answers that always seem just out of reach. Yet God reminds us that there are things we cannot discover through our own understanding alone.
That doesn’t mean He promises to answer every question the way we expect or according to our timeline. But He does promise that when we seek Him, He is listening. Sometimes the greatest answer isn’t simply finding a solution—it’s gaining the peace, wisdom, and perspective that only He can provide.
Perhaps today is simply another reminder that the first conversation we should have is with God.
