“My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me.”
— John 10:27 (NIV)
There are countless voices competing for our attention every day. News, opinions, distractions, and even our own worries can make it difficult to know which direction to follow. Yet Jesus describes something remarkably simple. His sheep recognize His voice because they know Him, and He knows them.
That doesn’t mean life is always clear or easy. It means that as we spend time in God’s Word, in prayer, and walking with Christ, we become more familiar with His character. Over time, His voice becomes easier to recognize above the noise around us.
Following Jesus isn’t about having every answer before taking the next step. It’s about trusting the One who already knows us completely and choosing to keep walking with Him, even when the path ahead isn’t fully visible.
