“You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.”
— Jeremiah 29:13 (NIV)
God isn’t afraid of your questions. That’s something worth remembering when we’re trying to understand faith and the things happening in our lives.
We all have questions. Sometimes they’re about why something happened. Other times they’re about God Himself, whether He’s listening, or why we can’t seem to find the answers we’re looking for.
Jeremiah 29:13 reminds us that God invites us to seek Him wholeheartedly. These words were originally spoken to people living through a difficult time, far from home, uncertain about their future.
God didn’t promise that everything would suddenly make sense. But He did assure them that He could be found.
I think there’s encouragement in that for us today.
Having questions doesn’t mean we’ve stopped believing. Sometimes those questions are what lead us to look more closely at who God is.
We may not find every answer we’re looking for, but we can keep seeking Him with an open heart.
