“Jesus looked at them and said, ‘With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.’”
— Matthew 19:26 (NIV)
There are moments in life when we simply run out of answers. We do everything we know to do, yet the problem remains. That’s often when discouragement begins to whisper that nothing will ever change.
Jesus doesn’t deny that some things are impossible from our perspective. In fact, He says so plainly. But He also reminds us that our limitations are not His. What we cannot accomplish through our own strength, wisdom, or determination is never beyond God’s ability.
God’s answer may not always look the way we imagined or come as quickly as we’d like, but His power has never been the problem. Our hope has never rested in what we can do. It rests in what He can do.
Sometimes the greatest act of faith is simply remembering that the story isn’t over just because we’ve reached the end of what we can do.
